Kenyan is my tribe..the young people have grown together peacefully and we don't care about tribes. Lets appreciate each others culture and lets be tolerant with each other.
To enhance nationalism, i think this tribal radio stations should be closed down completely.

Daima mimi mkenya, mwaninchi mzalendo...
Its sad to see how culture can be twisted into something so despicable,
and strange how communist antics in TZ rid them of this problem.
Then again how far are we willing to go to achieve social equality?(disregarding income) I really hope to see a day where cultural background is no longer a deciding fa...

Guys stop this MYOPIC depthless wayside prejidice superficial view on Kenya tribal nature. We must appreciate our tribes...it is our roots what we need to cultivate is how to unify our diversity in culture and not let it ruin our country. People who grow up not knowing their roots are actually "LOST" we should strive to embrace our tribal roots but...

Dear Lord Jesus, your words "I will be with you always, until the end of time" (Matthew 28:20) are very re-assuring and needed by every Kenyan man, woman or child at this challenging moment. Lord we need to remember that you are very much close to us, and that no matter what happens you will always be with us and in us.
Over 2000 years ago Lord yo...

This is a wonderful philosophy. But we will achieve this when everyone is stable and has no burning desire to rob another in order to survive. I mean we need to develop the subsistence living into a stable and secure way of life with necessities available and affordable. A hungry man is an angry man. Lets make this saying redundant.

This is relatively speaking good news that some kind of coalition government is going to be developed. Hopefully those who have lost homes, property and loved ones can try to rebuild their lives. Very many Kenyans will remain traumatized and impoverished.

I have no faith in any of the criminals in government be they ODM or PNU or whatever.
I ha...

I have no tribe... not only a beautiful name for a website, but also a wonderful philosophy!

However, I do think we all have roots... and how we grow, will be determined by the environment we are planted into. Where racism and tribalism thrive, and are celebrated, there...too.. people will find it difficult to break out of a cycle of prejudice....

Am a kenyan and never in my life i have ever imagined my neighbour who is not my tribe to be my enemy. It is a big shame for our brothers and sisters to kill and burn houses belonging to others because they are not their tribe

To avoid all this for future Kenya, i think we should abolish venacular radio stations. Kiswahili is taught in schools a...

When i saw the brutality and graphic images broadcasted all over the world, did not sleep that night and i did not want to turn on my tv or my laptop. i could not tell if the wounded the dead and the fighting were from what tribe. the only thing i saw is a kenyan with a panga killing fellow kenyan. still ...

Hi people of Kenya. Lets stop killing our own brothers and sisters. Even if they wronged us, lets learn to forgive because we are not perfect. Lord Jesus forgave us so we should also forgive those who wrong us. They say that 'those who live by the sword will die by the sword'. Lets live in peace and harmony despite our differences. Lets also respec...

Tribal conflict have always existed since the days of our forefathers.
Politics is using tribes to kill Kenya. Kenya shall rise. Kenya will definitely shun unrealistic politics
This is a small time conflict that will be solved soon
It's an African thing .We will solve it

ive tried to read as much of the comments that are there as i could, but for most of us who live in diaspora and the ones that live in urban/metro kenya there stands one thing that everyone is afraid to say. what is the problem and where did it come from?

this clearly is not going to by avoiding the underlying issues that have gotten us to where...

I do agree with what Joseph Nyamanche says below that as a nation and a people we will eventually come out with peace, stability and national cohesion between people. You are so very right as to how horrified I was and am to see our home being torn anarchically apart.
I do believe though that, as I am sure we will all agree, the tragic post-elect...
