i think we all need to be tolerant to one another,we are all one Big community our diversity should be our strenght and it should not divide us.
While we are fighting our neighbours who we have co-existed with all this years.

Lets not think tribal. kila mtu ana yake. we are all kenyans. ama? what we need is peace. may be we should think of two main phases:
one: immediate unconditional peace.
two: how to maintain that peace, now and future.

"As you press on for justice, be sure to move with dignity and discipline, using only the weapon of love. Let no man pull you so low as to hate him.

Always avoid violence. If you succumb to the temptation of using violence in your struggle, unborn generations will be the recipients of a long and desolate night of bitterness, and your chief legac...

The rainbow is beautiful because of its seven colors. Kenya has 42 or so tribes. There's no need of tribal hatred and animosities. On the contrary we should be unified by our different rich diversities and embrace nationhood. For me I am and will always be a Kenyan first. Period

We were all born Kenyans. and have lived as Kenyan 4 a long time to start reffering each other by their tribe. We have the same id's with same colour to indicate we are all equal.please lets stop blood shed as we are all kenyans.

Tribe.... every time i hear that word my mind conjours up images on half naked black people in grass skirts and Dr. Livingstone. Its a throw back to the dark ages in Africa. And yet here over 100years on and we are still looking at each other along tribal lines.

I think we nned to realize we are citizens of the world, just because you were born...

Ok, guys, please stop regurgitating these old tired lines of "Kenyans have been living together as brother and sister for centuries"....or anything along those lines! that is pure B.S

As a function of geography or locality, YOU MUST LIVE NEXT TO SOMETHING.

Because we dont leave in space!

That is absolutely, no indicator of togetherness, pe...

I have always thought of my origin as Kenyan. Never in my life had i known the sense in tribal outfits. My wife is a proud former Kenya Citizen from Kiambu and myself from Eldoret. We are both saddened by the tribal hatred!! But we consider this as criminal acts which needs to be delt with deceively by the government. Every country has laws and tho...

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of rift valley the sons of Kalenjins and the sons of Kikuyus will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have...

I have no regrets or any worry whatsoever for the tribe I am - I never proposed to be born from that tribe and neither is anyone. I am proud to be Kenyan and we need each other to survive - it take all sort of pple to make up the world. Lets enhance peace.

I know many facts about you and I, one being that we both have a tribe. the history of tribes go back to the twelve tribes of Israel. i also know that i never applied to be in my tribe. i believe that God had a purpose to make me belong to that tribe. I know that i am not any special, the fact that i belong to that tribe. neither are you. if i was ...

If we look at ourselves as Kenyans first then which tribe we come from will become less important. It won't then matter who my president or mp is as long as they are nationalists and have the interest of kenyans at heart. This is how Kenya is going to become great.

But, how can we preach amani bila justice.

"Oh God of all creation,
Bless this our land and nation,
Justice be our earnest Endeavor,
And the homeland of Kenya, Heritage of splendor,
Plenty be found within our borders"

I hate and love equally. Peace for a jobless ndaraguan is useless, peace for a jobless Kehanchan is useless.

It is sad what has been happening in Kenya. I am Kikuyu and I have friends from different ethnic groups, really, really good friends, I consider them as my brothers and sisters. Since the problem started at home our bond has become even stronger simply because we undersand that our divinity as children of most high goes beyond the limited boundarie...

Yes, I have a tribe-no denying that. I belong to a community-no denying that either. And I have a Nationality- something to be celebrated as much as my own family, brothers and sisters. But what I have to remember is that divided we will fall as a family and as a community we will not stand devided. Yes, it is inevitable for me to get angry, but ev...
